Running on Elona's Reach
I've tried this run every way I can think of, but I just can't do it holding that crystal.. they seem to follow me no matter what. Any suggestions, anyone? Please?

Get the crystal out of the protected/aggro areas, and then drop the crystal in an area you know they wander in and out of. Go back and pick it up when they move away.

I can run Elona's Reach with my R/Mo.. What you really need is Run skills, Purge Condition and Holy Veil. The rest of it is just practice. Watch the way the mobs move and time your sprints accordingly. I don't think stacking sprint and charge really help that much...
Of note is that using Dodge while holding the crystal will still result in a run... Heh..

stacking sprint and charge will give you 33% speed, so it's the warriors way of using dodge :P

.. I was pretty sure I only had one sprint. I kinda figured out what Jetdock said for myself after about.. 10 tries. Thanks for the reply though.
And I never had a problem with hexes, I just made sure to take Mend Ailment and Purge Conditions. Thanks again for all the posts, guys.

when you get a bad mesmer boss spawn, there will be a problem with hexes...so at least bring smite hex or holy veil. I bring both, but that's personal preference.

I don't, or haven't rather, seen much of a difference when using sprint and charge stacked, one way or the other, seems kind of a waste to stack them with the execption to over lap them to keep running.

If you're just running regularly you'll see very little, if not no differences at all (25% vs 33%). But try holding the Crystal Shard in Elona, you'll see the difference it make. Just like Dodge doesn't seem much faster then Escape or Storm Chaser, but when holding the crystal it can save your life. I usually just drop it if I can't shake them and come back later, like the other suggested above.

Yeah, you can definitely see the difference when you have a crystal. *nod*
